Last weekend, we traveled up to northern Illinois to visit some family and attend my cousins' graduation party. We met up with my parents halfway thru the road trip, and my mom decided to give Isaac and Audrey these gianormous smartie suckers. Of course Isaac LOVED it (and he said "cheese" for the picture), but let's not ignore the fact that it was only an hour away from Isaac's normal bedtime, and he was getting a huge sugar rush to delightfully keep him awake for us. How convenient it was, that my parents were in a separate car, probably with nice big smirks on their faces. I guess that's the fun of being a grandparent. Okay, okay....so it ended up not being a big deal and he eventually fell asleep with no problems. But hey,...I gotta give my mom some trouble, right?
We stayed with my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Scott for the weekend, who have a gorgeous home in the woods. Here's my dad and Isaac playing some golf in my Aunt Kathy's front yard.
